Losing Weight Safely With Hoodia Gordonii

Obesity is a growing problem that’s becoming more and more common with today’s society. Diet plans and exercise are one way to lose weight, and while they’re effective, they aren’t the easiest by far. Fortunately, weight loss pills help relieve the difficulties associated with losing weight.

While many pills are available for losing weight, Hoodia Gordonii is amongst the most popular. The pill contains substances found naturally in Hoodia Gordonii, a plant found only in the Kalahari of South Africa, where it was used by indigenous tribes to tame hunger during long hunts in the desert. Since their discovery and widespread success, Hoodia Gordonii has become the popular weight loss option amongst those looking to lose weight safely.

While shaped like a traditional cactus, the Hoodia Gordonii plant does not belong to the cactus family of plants due to certain properties and composition of the plant. The plant takes five years for the flowers to blossom in their full purple appearance, and it is only after this blooming that the plant can be harvested for effective use in a weight loss pill.

Although very difficult to harvest in large quantities due to the long growth process required by the plant, the pill is on the market through a company called Phytopharm. Phytopharm’s scientific department applied tests to animals and humans, concluding that food intake had been noticeably reduced in the subjects who had taken the diet pill, thus proving its effectiveness.

The active ingredient in hoodia gordonni is called p57, a steroidal glycoside. It results in chemical reactions inside the applicant’s body to help them lose weight. Unfortunately, p57 has only been discovered in the hoodia plant, and its supply is far from abundant. Unlike dangerous alternatives that have been banned, such as Ephedra that has many side effects and even resulted in death for some users, proof exists that hoodia is free of side effects. This makes the pill even more inviting, due to the safety and dependability of the inherent plant. If used improperly, of course, hoodia could still be considered dangerous, especially in pregnant women. The instructions included with the pills, or your physician, will be able to advise as to whether hoodia is safe for you, or whether an alternate solution is preferable.

Be warned that many fake alternatives for hoodia gordonii exist. Due to their popularity and fame, many diet pills have taken the hoodia label without actually containing hoodia gordonii. Be very cautious in what you buy, and ensure that it’s pure, natural, original hoodia gordonii if you’re one of the many people interested in a safe, natural weight loss diet program. Whether you’re shopping online, or at your local pharmacy, make sure you find genuine hoodia gordonii, and you’ll be losing weight in no time.
